Les Sablons
Le Masurier is proud to present proposed plans for the regeneration of more than two acres of central St Helier (subject to planning approval).
The area in the heart of town will become known as Les Sablons, which means the windblown sand and will respect the old harbour wall within the development. Hundreds of years ago, before the reclamation of the seafront, this historic wall protected an emerging St Helier from the sand that would be blown from the beach. It also marked the boundary of the original harbour, which was the gateway to the Island for traders and merchants. Centuries after Jersey’s story of growth and expansion began, this location will once again become a hub of activity creating new public and private spaces that are flexible, adaptable and inclusive for Islanders to enjoy.
The Les Sablons vision is to create a vibrant place to visit, stay, eat, drink and shop. A new walkway and large landscaped vibrant courtyard, from Broad Street through to Commercial Street, will deliver a pedestrianised connection through from the centre of town to Liberty Wharf and will include landscaping with trees and plants and artwork created by local artists who are acclaimed internationally.

Bath Street Re-Development in St. Helier
Le Masuriers £70 million re-development project continues to progress well despite the pandemic and the first phased release of 26 residential apartments of Merchants Square have been sold off plan.
The substantial development will bring forward a new 122-bedroom Premier Inn, which will complete in October 2021, 149 residential apartments, a new restaurant and bar, commercial units and car parking.
The regeneration will also create a new public pedestrianised route from the Millennium Town Park to the Library and on to the Central Market beyond, providing vibrancy, essential connectivity and a new gateway into town.
This new lane will provide more green space in St Helier with planting, al fresco dining, communal seating, water features, courtyard gardens and residential rooftop terracing.
St Helier’s second Premier Inn is expected to create 35 new jobs and accommodate 40,000 overnight stays in Jersey, with the potential to attract annual visitor spend of £1.6 million and, in turn, support over 30 new year-round jobs in the tourism sector. The wider redevelopment is also expected to create over 70 full time jobs in the construction industry.

Marks & Spencer Food Store in Stone, Staffordshire
Le Masurier completed another UK development in 2018, following the acquisition of a site in Stone, Staffordshire, two miles from the M6 motorway. The site has now been developed to create a new 16,000 sq ft Marks & Spencer Food Store.
The new store is part of Marks & Spencer’s wider strategy to increase their presence in the UK food retail market and forms part of a wider masterplan for the local area with the council also constructing a brand new leisure centre on an adjacent site.
Le Masurier forward funded the development working closely with Chester based property developer, Liberty Properties.
